Sisters Anne and Kelly Campbell were inspired to open the Village Experience after they had traveled around the world and visited developing nations. Their mission was to help these countries by featuring fair trade accessories, home goods, coffee, tea, jewelry and summer dresses made in women’s cooperatives, orphanages and local markets. Also, the company's humanitarian-based tourism arm offers trips to various countries, exposing Westerners to worldwide social issues.
