Cruiser Phil’s Volcano Riders is based out of Kahului, but takes adventurers on unforgettable bicycle tours of the Haleakala Crater. Bike down the dormant volcano at sunrise for breathtaking vistas of the island, then pass through the town of Makawao, pineapple and sugar cane fields, and end in the charming town of Paia. Cruiser Phil’s offers a sunrise tour (pick up approximately 2 a.m.!) and a morning tour (pick up approximately 7 a.m.). If you’re too nervous about the steep ride down, the company also offers a scenic van tour, which follows the rest of the bikers.
