The Bar W Guest Ranch began when owner Dave Leishman decided that annual family trips to Montana weren’t enough, so he opened his own dude ranch. Over the years, the ranch has developed a diverse equestrian program that will suit any visitor’s needs, whether you’re a seasoned rider or just a beginner. The staff will select a horse that’s just right for you. If you choose to stay at the ranch to get the full experience, you’ll have a week's worth of riding clinics while you hit the trails. Even if you don’t stay at the ranch, you can still catch a glimpse into ranch life. Bar W offers one-hour, two-hour or half-day trail rides, as well as hourly lessons in horsemanship, cow cutting, driving and roping, plus barrel racing and pole bending.
