Konabig island living

For one of the best views you may experience in a lifetime, make the trek up to North Kohala and stop at Pololu Valley Lookout. Take in the spectacular views of the azure waters, northeastern coastline, Kohala Mountains and the valley, then take a hike down to the black sand beach, which is a must-see. Note that this is a steep and strenuous hike, so those who attempt should be prepared. Swimming and snorkeling are not recommended, as currents are strong and dangerous, but you can hike in the valley and see streams, waterfalls and lush vegetation. It’s recommended that you visit in the morning and there are no facilities, so plan ahead. (A small parking lot is available, however.)
