No trip to Hawaii is complete without attending a lu’au. Kona Beach Hotel hosts the Island Breeze Hawaiian Lu’au featuring traditional fare, including Kalua pork roasted in an underground imu, poi (a Hawaiian staple made of taro) and coconut pudding. There’s also a chance to try crafts such as coconut frond weaving and learning the hula. They’ll even give you a Polynesian tattoo and teach you how to open a coconut! After enjoying the open bar, take in the Polynesian, Fijian and Maori culture as you watch the performances of hula, Samoan fire knife dancers and more.
