Have you ever noticed that the mere mention of pandas makes most people go all soft inside? If this describes you, you must stop in at the Memphis Zoo to see Ya Ya and Le Le, the giant pandas in residence. The Overton Park attraction ambles along 76 acres of beautiful habitat. Though the pandas draw lots of curious animal lovers, there’s much more to see than that, as you’ll find more than 3,500 species throughout the 19 exhibits that range from Teton Trek to Northwest Passage and Primate Canyon. The zoo was established in 1906, and is a venue where programming changes often so you never know what excitement lurks, frolics, splashes or dives around the next corner.
