This 173,000-acre underwater wilderness is located just outside of Miami. Explore colorful reefs and sea life on a glass-bottom boat or see it up close with a snorkeling tour. Your first stop should be The Dante Fascell Visitor Center on Convoy Point. Scope out works from local artists, journey through the park’s four ecosystems at the museum and reserve tours for your activity of choice—boat tours, kayaking and canoeing. One of the most popular areas is Boca Chita Key. Pack a picnic and your camping gear. Check out the 65-foot ornamental lighthouse for killer views of the islands, bay and Miami Beach skylines. Reservations are recommended.
