It would be a crime to leave Milwaukee without sampling brew from one of Milwaukee’s original beer barons. While Schlitz, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Blatz left the city decades ago, Miller—founded by Frederick John Miller in 1824—remains snug in its West Milwaukee headquarters. Included in the tour is a video of the brewery’s history, as well as a guided tour showing off packaging centers, the brewhouse, shipping and distribution warehouse and caves. But the grand finale rules: a flight of Miller beers in a Bavarian-style tavern-like environment. In the summer, you can sip those beers in the adjacent outdoor beer garden.
