If you cater to couture, make haste to the Jardin du Palais Royal for fashions with model potential. The vintage haute couture at Didier Ludot includes Chanel (pre- and post-Karl Lagerfeld) and kicky classics by Emanuel Ungaro. At Ludot’s sister shop across the garden, La Petite Robe Noire, it’s all about the little black dress, of course, but also a hip selection of chic new fur jackets fashioned from vintage coats. The shop’s manager, Dominique Fallecker, knows clothes inside and out, and you need not ask which designer she’ll be wearing on any given day, as she only wears Christian LaCroix!
