Le Comptoir is a thirties-style bistro with 21st-century flair thanks to its renowned chef Yves Camdeborde (formerly of La Régalade). His menu has earned him accolades like “genius” and “culinary innovator.” Located in the Latin Quarter in Camdeborde’s 22-room, four-star hotel, Relais Saint Germain, in Saint Germain des Près, the restaurant offers diners the choice of brasserie-style à la carte or a prix fixe menu. Dishes like Canadian lobster salad and mashed green beans rotate in and out of the menu, which changes nightly. The petit bistro seats only twenty, which often means a wait at peak dining times, but foodies will want to think twice about walking away.
