Pensacola

Pensacola has a long history as a military city and this 5.5-acre waterfront park overlooking Pensacola Bay pays homage to those veterans who served this country. With the names of more than 58,000 soldiers who died in the Vietnam war listed on the 256-foot long memorial, Wall South is a one-half scale model of the striking Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. The park also features WWI and WWII memorials, a memorial dedicated to the children of Vietnam vets, a monument dedicated the WWII Submarine Lifesaving League and a Vietnam-era HU-1M Huey helicopter.
