Widely considered the best place in the valley to hear live music every day of the week, this former private residence tends to pack a full house almost nightly. A staple of the Phoenix blues scene since the early 1980s, Chars draws a diverse, all-ages crowd from throughout greater Phoenix. The bar, dance floor and stage fill an enormous room decorated in Christmas lights, and the friendly atmosphere makes it feel like you’re at a party at your favorite neighbor’s house.
