At the internationally renowned Heard Museum, visitors experience the incredible diversity of the art and culture of the Native American Southwest. With its home on Central Avenue in downtown Phoenix, the museum celebrates Native American art through pottery, sculpture, drawings, paintings, song and dance, hosting nearly 250,000 visitors annually from all over the world. The museum’s 10 spacious galleries and serene outdoor courtyards display an incredible assortment of traditional and contemporary Native American art. The Heard Museum Shop offers authentic American Indian art, while the Berlin Gallery features contemporary fine art for purchase. After a few hours strolling through the galleries, you’ll want to stop for a refresher at The Courtyard Café at the Heard, which concocts Southwest-inspired salads, sandwiches and soups.
