An eclectic collection of thrift shops, home décor boutiques, vintage stores and ethnic restaurants line Seventh Avenue in the Melrose District. Due north of the historic section of central Phoenix, this street between Indian School and Camelback Roads has become a unique shopping district unlike any other in town. Since Phoenix boomed in the 1950s, you can see evidence of the city’s mid-century modern fashions and housewares here, as well as Retro Redux, Figs Home & Garden, Flo’s on 7th and the famous Fry Bread House (where you can sample the famous Native American fare in a casual setting).
