Collections of objects from North Carolina’s diverse history over six centuries are on display, and special exhibitions include a major show of objects from the life of George Washington—even his wooden teeth. The exhibition opens September 10 and runs to January 21, 2011. Also look out for the furniture of Thomas Day, a free furniture maker in the 19th century whose work can be found all over the state. His works will be visible util June 2011.
