This joint is a legend in the area of Southern barbecue that transcends what you might think of as a BBQ restaurant. It’s upscale looking with a collection of small batch bourbons and a well rounded menu that includes the traditional pulled pork plate, mac & cheese, collard greens and barbecued tofu. The vinegar-based Eastern Carolina sauce (as opposed to the Western sauce available on the western side of the state) keeps us coming back.
