If you’re a history buff, the Delta King is a must-see. This historic riverboat is now a hotel, restaurant, meeting space and more. Between 1927 and 1940, the riverboat navigated the Sacramento River from Sacramento to San Francisco, and during World War II it transported troops on the San Francisco Bay. In 1984, after years of being derelict, the boat was brought back to Sacramento where it was restored (a $9 million project) and renovated into a hotel with two restaurants, two theaters, and a wedding or meeting space. Step aboard for dinner, a dinner theater performance, a wine school experience, or perhaps an entire evening. The guest rooms are quaint and modern with beautiful views of the Sacramento River and Old Sacramento.
