Home to the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the focal point for the entire city, the Salt Lake Temple is a must-see for all visitors. Not only is it the largest and most famous of the temples built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the history and significance of this remarkable structure is steeped in the area’s culture as it was dedicated more than 150 years ago. Plan to take a tour of the area and admoire the 253,000-square-foot floor of Gothic-inspired architecture. You’ll find it difficult to miss the 10 acres that make up Temple Square. Bonus tip: In December, the Temple is always lit up with thousands of white lights, transforming it into a twinkling wonderland.
