Take a 10-minute cab ride to the Tucuvuri Metro station in the little-known district of Vila Medeiros to this nearly 40-year-old restaurant beloved for its mocotó, or cow’s foot soup. The simple neighborhood eatery has attracted top chefs from around the world, who come to appreciate the classic cooking of chef Rodrigo Oliveira, as well as to indulge in the hundreds of bottles of cachaça lining the walls.

I went to Mocotó last Friday with my girlfriend. I enjoyed the entire experience. All of the dishes were unique and flavorful. It is also one of the best values in SP. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip.
