If you’re in the mood for the throat-numbing Hunan spice, Xi Na is the restaurant for you. The spicy regional cuisine is set in an elegant villa in Xintiandi (thankfully without the steep Xintiandi prices), with deep red walls and hand-painted wood furnishings. The signature entrée, and one of Hunan’s most famous dishes, is the double chili carps’ head with fermented black beans—and it totally lives up to the hype.
