This hands-on science museum boasts a planetarium, Omni movie theatre, climbing wall and motion simulator. Don’t miss Toothpick City II, a “town” that boasts the Vatican, Mecca’s Grand Mosque and Paris’s Notre Dame made entirely of, you guessed it, toothpicks and Elmer’s Glue. While many of the exhibits are geared towards the younger set, the 50-seat Silverman Planetarium will have you seeing stars. With five levels of exhibits on everything from light and sound to rocks and minerals, cells and bacteria, and space and flight, this is a science geek’s heaven. Don’t forget your pocket protector.
