A recent restoration project has left the historic Landmark Theatre even more architecturally stunning. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, this was the first great “Oriental-style” movie theater, predating even Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and is the city’s only surviving example of the opulent theatrical venues of the 1920s (earning it a place on the National Register of Historic Places). Legends as diverse as Tony Bennett and Bob Dylan have entertained on Landmark’s Stage.
