Set in a refurbished brick building that was the site of Vancouver’s first jail, L’Abattoir is winning over diners with its French-meets-Canadian fare. Try inventive dishes such as Dungeness crab and chickpea toast, and pork shoulder cooked in milk with salsa verde. Celebrated barman Shaun Layton’s cocktail menu is equally impressive.
