West Palm Beach’s downtown waterfront area is home to more than 100 events every year. The mile-long waterfront runs parallel to the Intracoastal Waterway, making it a nice, breezy area, even in the warm summer months. Numerous events take place on any given weekend and all offer free admission. For example, every Thursday, there is a free concert by the fountain. The program is called “Clematis by Night” and the weekly concert series highlights local bands and musicians. And every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you’ll find the West Palm Beach Greenmarket at the waterfront, where vendors offer a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, tropical and native plants, artisan foods, and more.
