Bangkok has long been known for its bargain price tailors, but if truth be told, there are far more rip-off rookies than bespoke artisans. Don't be swayed by lowest-price merchants, beware any same-day turnaround services and be sure to insist on at least two fittings. Pinky—despite his cheesy website—is among the crop of top Bangkok tailors properly schooled in the art of custom-made clothing. This Indian transplant has been tailoring both ladies and gents for almost four decades and it shows. He's not the cheapest in town, but his work is superb and the choices of high quality fabric are far beyond what you normally see in Bangkok's numerous other couturiers—which explains his huge roster of repeat clients who won't be measured by anyone else.
