The museum, located at the crossroads of St. Michael’s Hill, Patrick Street and High Street in the Christ Church Cathedral, is home to three famous exhibitions presenting a look at Dublin through the ages. The Viking Dublin Exhibition shows the clothing, skills and weaponry needed to survive life in a Viking village and warship. The Medieval Dublin Exhibition sends you back in time to the medieval streets of Dublin to visit the city as it would have looked—from a merchant’s kitchen to a trade fair—sharing points about about social politics, health and other aspects of life in the middle ages. The History Hunters Exhibition presents a look at how historians use the science of archaeology to uncover facts about our ancestors’ lives. Don’t miss the chance to climb to the top of St. Michael’s viewing tower for a panoramic view of the city.
