Take a cruise up the historic New River on this 550-person paddle wheeler. Choose from an evening ride for the all-you-can-eat barbecue dinner of ribs, chicken and shrimp followed by a variety show or a daytime sightseeing cruise. Daytime cruises take approximately three hours and pass downtown Fort Lauderdale and the impressive waterfront mansions while the boat’s captain narrates, pointing out the homes of the rich and famous. Tours culminate at the Jungle Queen’s Tropical Isle where exotic birds, iguanas, monkeys and an alligator preen amidst lush foliage, followed by the ride back to Bahia Mar Docks. Transporting travelers up and down the river for more than six decades, this attraction continues to be a favorite.
