One of the main attractions in Fort Lauderdale is the quaint strip known as Las Olas Boulevard that runs from Andrews Avenue to A1A. Dotted with art galleries, boutiques and restaurants, it is a gathering spot for travelers and locals looking for entertainment, shopping and dining. Las Olas is also a sightseeing spot, boasting a historic house and the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. The boulevard, which runs nearly parallel to the New River, is also in walking distance of the beach, making it a great location for accommodations in one of the nearby hotels. Stroll the streets adorned in flowered medians and shady trees while window-shopping or grab a table at a sidewalk café to people watch. The boulevard gets particularly busy for happy hour and on weekends.
