Grand Rapidsheartland gem

Established in 1910, Grand Rapids Art Museum reopened in its third home in October 2007, unveiling a Gold LEED-certified design from the U.S. Green Building Council that brings lots of natural sunlight into the atrium, along with an open and airy layout. Socials on Friday night with activities that tie into current traveling exhibits and an Education Center open Saturdays for young children are nice complements to the permanent exhibits. The most well-known works inside the 125,000-square-foot museum include those by Ellsworth Kelly, Pablo Picasso and Richard Diebenkorn.
