You’re in the Bahamas! One of the area’s obvious selling points is the fine sand and clear turquoise waters, not to mention the warm, temperate climate (except maybe during Hurricane season). The Nassau/Paradise Island area boasts 17 stretches of beach, some crowded and others blissfully quiet. Cable Beach is one of the most popular, and the longest—four miles lined with resorts and waterfront restaurants and bars. Further west, you can walk the same sand as Sean Connery did in the 007 film Thunderball on Rock Point Beach. Casaurina tree-lined Saunders Beach is a favorite with locals, though you will hear some traffic noise. On Paradise Island, head to Cabbage Beach and the adjoining, quieter Paradise Beach for sugary sand and great people-watching; Atlantis resort and One & Only Ocean Club sit on this prime piece of real estate.
