This new indie movie theater-cum-bar in downtown Phoenix has become a gathering place for the local artist community and resident fans of independent and foreign films. FilmBar’s founder and owner opened the theater with an aim toward it becoming a community center where Phoenicians can congregate and talk about the arts. The theatre has a smallish bar adjacent to the lobby, which also displays artwork from local and LA-based artists.
