Legend has it that in 1847 Brigham Young, the American leader of the Latter Day Saint movement, proclaimed, “This is the place,” ending his long and perilous journey west more than 150 years ago. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in a bit of Salt Lake City history, stroll through the heritage village to find blacksmiths, schoolteachers and fiddlers reenacting everyday life more than a century ago. Pet the farmhouse animals, admire the monuments, help the townspeople with chores or simply enjoy the breathtaking mountain landscape. Located right next to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, the name of this beautiful park truly speaks for itself.
