São Paulo’s own triangular-shaped version of Central Park covers an astounding 22 million square feet right in the heart of the mega-metropolis. The variety offered within the park is nothing short of spectacular. There are large lagoons ideal for bird watching, sports fields, extensive biking and jogging paths, bridges, playgrounds, a variety of free daily events and all around are greenery and trees that make you forget you’re in a city of almost 20 million inhabitants. The park is home to some of the city’s best-known cultural attractions, such as concerts, a variety of sculptures and other public artworks, a planetarium, Japanese gardens, the Museum of Modern Art, the Afro Brazilian Museum and the UFO-looking OCA auditorium, which holds frequent events.
