Get yourself ready for entertainment with a capital “E” at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. The spectacular acrobatic, circus-style shows with traditional Chinese costumes and awe-inspiring feats (think plate-spinners and high divers) will have you squirming in your seat in amazement. The venue, the largest multi-use complex in town, is celebrating its 30th year with a grand birthday bash this year with live music and laser shows. The Centre is also home to the annual Jazz Festival and fun programming like the “Rhythm of America” show, which features the Tomas Doncker Band, an R&B ensemble that will recall a bygone era in music with its soulful blues harmonica and earthy voices.
