If you want a different point of view of Shanghai, see it sideways on a vintage sidecar motorbike with a guide who will help you merge the old and the new, the traditional and the innovative, and all the other contrasts and contradictions Shanghai has in store. Tours last for about three hours and you can add champagne or video shooting to your experience. You’ll want to be punctual because bookings work on a first arrived first served basis. The sidecars used were mainstays of the Chinese army until 1997 and are still produced to this day. The technology was passed along to the Chinese in 1957 by the Russians, who designed their sidecars after those the Germans used during World War II so you’ll get a taste of great war history as you motor around the city soaking in the sights!
