In addition to featuring exhibits and collections that focus on regional history, fine art and American Indian and other cultures, the Northwest Museum of Art and Culture also operates the historic Campbell House museum. Built in 1898 by architect Kirtland K. Cutter (the same architect who constructed the landmark Davenport Hotel), the home—an English Tudor Revival—is preserved with period-precise furnishings to reflect what life was like at the turn of the 20th century for Spokane’s elite class. As a Smithsonian-affiliated museum, the MAC also hosts several national traveling exhibitions throughout the year.
